The Korg MS-20 Mini is a recreation of the original MS-20 often advertised as an 86% scale. (It's actually more like 84%.) And just like upgrading the original, the mini looks amazing with wood.
Many folks have made wood panels for the mini, but none replicate the original design like the GMUSynth MS-20 Mini panels. The Mini's original panels have recessed interiors so they wrap around the edges of the synth. If you just add flat wood panels, you're going to expose integral brackets and other unsightly parts of the chassis that are supposed remain internal. The synth's designers accounted for this...and so do these GMUSynth panels.
Our wood MS-20 mini panels feature the instantly recognizable side routed profiles based on the originals, as well as newly added counter-sunk holes for the mounting screws. (But, if for some reason you don't like the routed groove..just ask and we'll leave the sides flat with just the countersunk holes.)
Made from a single piece of solid hardwood in a variety of woods. If you want a different wood not listed, contact us for a special request.
Available finished a natural oil and wax finish, a low sheen hand-rubbed polyurethane finish, a semi-gloss hand-rubbed polyurethane finish, and a high gloss premium finish.

One note...even the MS-20 mini is a pretty wide panel. It requires rough boards of at least 9 inches wide, which can be very hard to find in furniture grade woods suitable for making synth panels. These are also more costly! Occasionally, locating rough stock for this could add a week or two the production time.
Mounts using a set of included black oxide screws that are slightly longer than the originals. Installation requires just a screw driver. No electronics or synth repair knowledge is required.
